We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team at a globally recognized heavy engineering facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with precision equipment and is passionate about delivering high-quality results.

  • Precision fitting, assembly, and disassembly of Exciters (heavy mechanical vibratory units)
  • Refurbishment of existing Exciter machines
  • Working from technical drawings and engineering specs
  • Use of tools like torque wrenches, presses, micrometers, dial indicators
  • Following strict safety and quality control processes

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting
  • Experience in gearbox assembly, rotating equipment, or precision fitting
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
  • Solid understanding of lubrication systems, tolerances, and quality control
  • Reliable and punctual with a proactive work ethic
  • Own transport is essential
  • Forklift ticket preferred
