Lead Digital Transformation

Uniting seeks a seasoned Program Manager to spearhead key digital initiatives, driving transformation and improving outcomes for clients and frontline teams.

This pivotal role leads the Digital Technology stream of our flagship Quality of Care Program, reporting directly to the Digital Delivery Lead. You'll shape and deliver digital transformation work, collaborating with business leads and navigating ambiguity to drive benefit realisation.

  • Strategically align and operate effectively the Digital Tech stream, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to clarify scope and drive benefit realization.
  • Manage a team of 2–3 Project Managers and 3 Business Analysts, providing hands-on leadership and clear direction.
  • Develop and maintain detailed delivery roadmaps, resource plans, and schedules using Agile/hybrid methodologies.
  • Partner closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Engage with external vendors and internal SMEs to design and implement innovative, scalable systems.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage interdependencies, and resolve delivery blockers.
  • Ensure alignment with Digital Tech governance and security frameworks.
  • Provide regular progress updates and insights to the Digital Delivery Lead and relevant governance forums.
  • Support benefits tracking and contribute to post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
  • Dynamic, results-oriented Program Manager with experience in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven track record in technology-enabled transformations, preferably in service environments.
  • Deep understanding of Agile and hybrid delivery models, with hands-on Jira and Confluence skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a collaborative style.
  • Experience managing small cross-functional teams in matrixed environments.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, enterprise architecture, data, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Forward-looking mindset, combined with perseverance and focus through complexity and uncertainty.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Agile certification (desired).
  • Postgraduate qualifications in project management or related field (highly regarded).
  • Experience in healthcare, aged care, human services, or regulated environments (preferred).
