Job Summary

As a Project Contract Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the development, implementation, and proactive contract management and risk mitigation strategies for our Metronet project. You will work closely with the Project Director and be accountable for ensuring meticulous record-keeping and robust file preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Apply contract, claims, and insurance management manual and Alstom governance.
  2. Collaborate with the core project team to prepare the Contract Management Strategy Plan.
  3. Analyse the contract to build and drive the implementation of the contract and claims management strategy plan and continuously update it with the project team.
  4. Monitor work to ensure compliance with contract obligations, including tracking the project schedule to meet contractual milestones.
  5. Issue contractual notices to customers and partners in a timely manner.
  6. Establish and implement project-specific commercial procedures, particularly regarding correspondence, notifications, insurance, variation requests/orders, and claims preparation.
  7. Monitor and manage correspondence by analysing incoming and outgoing communications with customers and partners.
  8. Develop and produce project-specific processes and methods for contract/claim management.
  9. Anticipate events and risks associated with contract management activities and propose alternative proactive solutions to maintain control.
  10. Develop a pragmatic commercial approach based on contractual analysis to protect Alstom's interests with customers and partners.
  11. Work closely with the project team to identify and mitigate risks, and to identify, maximise, and leverage claim opportunities.
Requirements
  1. Tertiary degree in Law, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
  2. Extensive experience in contract and claims management in the delivery of railway, infrastructure or construction projects.
  3. Ability to anticipate and manage conflicting priorities.
  4. Strong knowledge and experience with Contract Management and Project Management tools and systems.
  5. Capability to be operationally effective and accountable.
