About the RoleJob Description

The Senior Manager, Transaction Monitoring Product Management will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of Westpac Group's global Transaction Monitoring Product Management (TMP). This includes leading a team of Financial Crime professionals, working closely with Operations and Financial Crime Compliance teams, and providing input on strategy and optimisation of the existing TMP.

The ideal candidate will have a strong operational background, demonstrated ability to develop and enhance solid processes and controls, and commercial acumen with experience dealing with and managing senior business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Financial Crime professionals to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the TMP.
  • Work closely with Operations and Financial Crime Compliance teams to meet objectives.
  • Provide input on strategy and optimisation of the existing TMP.
  • Be a key Subject Matter Expert for advising on all matters relating to TM Risk.
  • Develop/maintain the TM risk framework and documentation.
  • Continually assess the existing TMP against global best practice and identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of banking, consulting, legal, or Government Transaction Monitoring L2 Risk experience.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of AML/CTF and other financial crime legislation.
  • Strong operational experience and demonstrated ability to develop and enhance solid processes and controls.
  • Broad understanding of bank products and processes.
  • Commercial acumen and experience dealing with and managing senior business stakeholders.
