About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our residential care team as an Assistant House Supervisor.

In this rewarding role, you will provide exceptional support to young people and take on leadership responsibilities when the House Supervisor is off shift.

As a key part of our Out of Home Care Program, you will collaborate closely with the House Supervisor and Residential Care Coordinator to deliver high-quality care, foster growth, and create an environment where young people can thrive.

  • You will lead a dedicated team of residential care workers and help shape the future of young people in need of guidance and support.
  • You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people and develop your leadership skills.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • You will have a deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
  • You will have demonstrated ability to supervise, lead, and support a team of residential care workers.
  • You will have experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.
  • You will have proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

Requirements:

  • You must hold a current and valid Driver's Licence;
  • You must hold a current and valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • You must satisfy a Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • You must hold a valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check;
  • You must hold a relevant Diploma with substantial experience, including four additional mandatory competencies.
