About the Role
As the Public Relations Director, you will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive public relations strategies designed to enhance our brand image, increase visibility, and build relationships with key stakeholders. Collaborating closely with our brand team, you will elevate brand awareness through innovative product launches and local branding initiatives, reaching beyond traditional automotive channels to engage with consumer and mainstream media, fostering strong audience connections and maintaining our brands' prominence in consumers' minds with a continuous PR approach.
Reporting to the Head of Communications, Inchcape Australasia, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Storyteller: Develop and implement engaging publicity and communication campaigns that resonate with diverse media and target audiences, ensuring our messaging is impactful.
- Reputation Guardian: As the steward of our brand reputation, you will adeptly manage external relationships and media connections, striving to enhance our image.
- Stakeholder Extraordinaire: Cultivate strategic partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, utilizing your influence to advance our brand objectives.
- Voice of Authority: Act as a spokesperson for our brands and provide strategic guidance to team members on communication tactics and crisis management, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Performance Expert: In addition to overseeing the press fleet, you will assess and report on media impact, identifying a clear Return on Investment (ROI). Your focus will be on delivering measurable results that align with our objectives.

About You
To excel in this role, you will possess:
- Extensive experience in communications or public relations, supported by a relevant degree.
- A proven track record as a well-rounded PR Manager capable of creating standout integrated consumer campaigns and executing impactful events.
- Demonstrated experience managing internal and external stakeholders, along with multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to accommodate some travel and out-of-hours work as required by the role.
