About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Architect Leader to join our team at Capgemini. As a key member of our data strategy, you will lead the design, implementation, and delivery of data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Architecture & Strategy: Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable data architectures on GCP to meet business needs. Develop and maintain best practices for data architecture, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Team Leadership & Management: Lead a team of data engineers and architects, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, facilitating their professional development.
  • Data Engineering & Delivery: Oversee the development of data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data quality and accessibility. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver data solutions that support business objectives.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive data, adhering to regulatory requirements. Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Platform Nuances: Stay updated on the latest GCP offerings and technologies, evaluating their potential impact on data strategy. Manage cloud resources efficiently, optimizing costs and performance of data workloads.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and provide insights that drive decision-making. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, and delivery, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong expertise in GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Pub/Sub.
  • Proficient in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of data governance, security frameworks, and regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality data solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Salary: $175,000 - $225,000 per annum, depending on experience.
