Job Overview

A leading cable and wire manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join its production team on the first shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate extrusion and drawing machinery in accordance with established guidelines and specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance, make adjustments to ensure product quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products for defects, verify they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of machines to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production data, and maintenance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and resolve issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience operating production machinery, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency with measurement tools.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a noisy environment.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented individual.
Work Environment
  • Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
