Academic Opportunity

We are seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to contribute to the development of our undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior Lecturer (Level C) Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic Leadership: Provide academic leadership in teaching, curriculum development, and program coordination, shaping the strategic direction of the School.
  • Impactful Research: Lead impactful research with a strong track record in publications, funding, and supervision, advancing the field of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strategic Direction: Shape the strategic direction of the School through leadership in governance and development, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Community Engagement: Drive industry and community engagement to create broader opportunities for students and research, strengthening links with industry and the community.

About You:

Requirements:

  • A doctoral qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with a preference for expertise in areas such as advanced system design, energy or electromechanical systems.
  • A passion for creating engaging learning experiences, contributing to course design and assessment, and supporting student success across both face-to-face and online modes.
  • An emerging research profile, with potential to contribute to energy, advanced manufacturing or materials engineering through publications, collaborative projects, or research supervision.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive academic culture where students and staff are supported to achieve their best.
  • Experience contributing to academic governance, program coordination or other collaborative university initiatives.
  • Professional memberships or connections that support student outcomes and strengthen links with industry or the community.
