Clinical Trial Nurse Manager Position Overview

The role of Clinical Trial Nurse Manager is pivotal in delivering high-quality clinical trials.

This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the successful execution of clinical trials, focusing on patient safety, operational excellence, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to the nursing team, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient care.
  • Ensure accurate administration of investigational products and maintain strict adherence to patient safety protocols.
  • Oversee trial start-up processes, guaranteeing that necessary nursing protocols and resources are in place for efficient trial execution.
  • Manage recruitment, training, and delegation of nursing staff across various protocols, ensuring optimal team performance.
  • Maintain strict compliance with GCP and regulatory standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and compliance within the team.
  • Collaborate effectively with sponsors, CROs, investigators, and internal stakeholders to drive successful trial outcomes.
  • Support documentation standards, audits, and process improvements to ensure seamless trial execution and minimize risk.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this position, you will require:

  • A current registration with AHPRA (mandatory).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Clinical Trials Research Nurse.
  • At least 3 years of experience in leadership/management (ANUM or NUM roles).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Phases 1–4 of clinical trials.
  • Experience with GCP, compliance, and clinical documentation standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a strong customer-centric focus to deliver positive patient and stakeholder experiences.
  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with sponsors, CROs, and investigators.
