Job Description:

As a dedicated Personal Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care services to valued clients in the comfort of their own homes. This rewarding role involves supporting clients with daily living activities, mobility assistance, and domestic duties.

About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering compassionate care and empowering clients to maintain independence.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing consumer-directed care services as prescribed in the client's care plan
  • Assisting clients with mobility and transfers, along with other Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence
  • Supporting clients with general domestic duties, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Collaborating with clients to develop and implement personalized care plans that cater to their evolving needs
  • Recognizing and responding to changes in a client's condition, documenting and communicating this information as required
  • Ensuring clients receive dignified and respectful care, while promoting choice and autonomy
Requirements:
  • Minimum Certificate III qualification in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Community Services
  • Preferably 12 months experience working in Home Care, particularly with Home Care Packages and CHSP funded care services
  • Willingness to adapt to diverse care settings and support clients with complex needs
  • Genuine empathy for elderly clients and a passion for working within the community service sector
  • Understanding of specialized care delivery within diverse groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD, Veterans, Disability, Mental Health, LGBTI+, and Homelessness
