A career opportunity exists for a Drilling Engineer in Brisbane, Australia.

Zenith Energy Limited provides specialist services to the Oil and Gas Industry. We are an independent company owned and managed by Engineers with a core team behind us that are experienced and respected within the Industry.

Our multi-disciplined team includes Drilling Manager, Well Team Leader, Senior Drilling Engineers and Drilling Engineers based together in our office.

Zenith and our people bring vast experience and skills to any project we are involved in. We are experienced in land drilling, jack-ups, semis and drill ships and our personnel have worked in various locations.

We have experience in normal pressure wells, HPHT wells, Horizontal wells and Deep Water wells and working closely with both Drilling Contractors and Service Companies internationally.

In addition to our core team, we have access to a pool of experienced Well Engineering personnel covering Completions, Well Testing, Offshore Supervisors, Subsea and Logistics and Contracts specialists.

We support operators across Australia and the Asia Pacific region and are always looking to connect with strong talent ahead of project ramp-ups.

About the Opportunity

This is an open call for expressions of interest. While we don't currently have a live position, we expect new drilling and well engineering scopes to commence in the near future across Queensland.

We're building a pipeline of qualified professionals so we can respond quickly when our clients mobilise new work.

Typical scopes may include:

  • Onshore and offshore well planning and design
  • Drilling execution support
  • Regulatory submissions and approvals
  • Cost and time estimation
  • Engineering assurance and peer reviews
  • Interface management with service providers and field teams
Required Skills and Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline

Minimum 5+ years' experience in a Drilling Engineering role

Familiarity with Australian regulatory frameworks

Experience across well design, planning, and execution

Strong technical report writing and communication skills

Based in or able to relocate to Brisbane
