Opportunity for a Registered Midwife
We are seeking an experienced Registered Midwife to provide culturally safe, high-quality care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution to remote healthcare services, develop skills in a unique setting, and immerse yourself in the cultural and natural surroundings of the region.
About the Role
This locum-based position involves short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering treatment in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities
- Work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care
- Collaborate with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff
Requirements
- Evidence of unrestricted registration as registered nurse and registered midwife with AHPRA
- Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in midwifery
- Minimum of 2 years Postgraduate experience as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical experience within the past 12 months
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Current recognised Immunisation certificate
- Current Northern Territory Working with Children's Card (or willing to obtain)
