Software Asset Management Specialist Role:

Maintain best practice around software asset management frameworks including policies, procedures, strategies, tools, work instructions and standards.

  • Identify licencing risks and issues and work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders to develop actionable strategies for mitigation and management of these risks and issues.
  • Strategically analyse auditing and metering data to identify business improvement and optimisation opportunities; collaborate with teams and stakeholders to implement these opportunities.
  • Provide subject matter expert advice on licencing risks and issues to team members, customers and senior management, proposing initiatives to mitigate risks and issues.

Requirements:

  • High level knowledge of Software Asset Management, including demonstrated ability to provide high level specialist advice and support for software asset management functions in a large organisation. (SFIA: ASMG level 6, TECH level 5)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders through various communication methods (written, verbal, interpersonal etc.); adapt communications appropriate to the audience (SFIA: COMM level 6)
  • Demonstrated high level research, analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to identify issues and risks across the business and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop solutions. (SFIA: SLMO level 6)
  • Demonstrated high level understanding and application of ITIL principles in Software Asset Management.
