Role Overview

Firesoft People is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join their team in Sydney. This full-time position offers a salary of $185,000 + Super.

About the Role

In this role, you will be working with a talented team to develop and deploy machine learning models that are reproducible, reliable, and efficient. You will also be responsible for formalizing analytical solutions to internal business customer challenges and developing an MLOps framework for deploying machine learning models into production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Lead Data Scientist to develop and implement data-driven solutions that meet the needs of internal stakeholders
  • Develop and deploy high-quality machine learning models using Python and other relevant tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into business operations
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Snowflake and other data processing technologies
  • Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to drive business outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:Exceptional model-building skills, including optimal parameter search, feature engineering, model selection, model evaluation, and model deployment

Strong experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and operationalizing machine learning models and workflowsExpert-level knowledge of mathematical optimization methodologies and data processing software (Alteryx, Snowflake)Experience with Data Robot and pipeline technology (DBT, Snowflake scheduler)Excellent stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
