Procurement Manager Job Opportunity

This position is a key leadership role in the protein and commodity procurement strategy and execution for our rapidly scaling business unit.

The successful candidate will deliver procurement-driven commercial outcomes by leveraging scale, internal sourcing, and external suppliers.

A major responsibility includes building and owning the Procurement governance process to ensure best cost, highest quality, and growth-enabling outcomes.

Through better buying, contracts, and supply agreements, this role will contribute to the profitability of the group and optimise COGS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic and commercial procurement outcomes for all proteins and commodity ingredients.
  • Develop and maintain a network of internal and external suppliers.
  • Establish a procurement governance framework using external and internal indicators.
  • Identify opportunities for product design and/or value-added solutions.
  • Provide input into Sales & Operations (S&OP) processes.

Requirements:

  • Technical qualifications or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in protein procurement, preferably with a focus on strategic purchasing.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, ideally with training in Scotwork or GAP.
