Automated Systems Technician

The role requires a diligent and detail-oriented individual to oversee the operation of automated systems within a fast-paced production environment.

This includes monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving faults in material handling equipment, while adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills to interpret and maintain data and fault information accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain automated systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot faults and resolve issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure systems remain in good working order, promptly reporting any anomalies or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of system performance, faults, and resolutions.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality, with attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Have a genuine interest in automation and technology, coupled with a willingness to learn new concepts and procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
  • Meet physical fitness requirements, including frequent walking, climbing, lifting up to 25kgs unassisted, and working at heights of up to 30 meters (with appropriate training and safety gear provided).
