Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated clinician to join our team of practitioners providing clinical services to individuals with various presentations, diagnoses and disability types. This role involves working across early intervention, school age, adolescent and adult services, and playing an integral part in personal growth and development.

You will form close bonds with clients, celebrating achievements and assessing/challenging behaviours to increase skills and improve emotion regulation.

Collaborating with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members, your day-to-day duties involve developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support plans and assessments focusing on increasing quality of life and enhancing independence.

  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support plans and assessments, incorporating individualised strategies to reduce restrictive practices and promote participant well-being.

Our organisation values work-life balance and provides resources for staff to work from home, allocate clients near their homes, and give ownership of their calendars for scheduling appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assess and observe participants' challenging behaviours, identifying underlying causes and developing targeted interventions to address these needs.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement holistic service plans that meet the unique needs of each participant.
Requirements
  • A recognised qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or related field.
  • NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner (or the ability to become registered).
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses.
  • A valid car driver's licence and reliable vehicle for travel between clients.
