Role Overview:

As a skilled Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of production machinery in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on production equipment, fault-finding and diagnosing mechanical issues to minimize downtime, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular checks and maintenance on production machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
  • Fault-Finding: Diagnose and rectify mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with established quality and safety protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent required.
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing is highly regarded.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills and fault-finding abilities essential.
  • Safety Awareness: Good understanding of safety protocols and food industry compliance standards.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate complex information clearly.
