Electrical Engineering Technician Role

The role of an Electrical Engineering Technician is dynamic, challenging, and offers opportunities for growth and development. The technician will provide technical services and support to a diverse customer base.

About the Position

This position reports directly to the Technical Manager and involves delivering engineering services and support as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical services and support to customers and project teams.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and commissioning as required.
  • Work on smaller projects as an electrical engineer, including design, development, commissioning, and verification activities.
  • Learn through working as a technician the diversity of engineering that the business provides.
  • Provide IT services to the company, including network configuration and workstation solutions.
  • Participate in the rotational on-call roster.
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • An Australian driver's license and own vehicle.
  • The right to work in Australia.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The following skills are essential for this position:

  • Experience in designing, developing, and troubleshooting PLC, RTU, HMI, SCADA, and network systems.
  • Ability to interpret control system documentation.
  • Self-motivation with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to manage competing tasks and priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with managers, staff, and clients.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • An Electrical License.
  • Network Licenses.
