Job Title: Metal Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a valued member of staff, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality metal products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform layout, cutting, forming, fitting and welding of structural steel, plate, pipe and other metal components according to specifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and work orders to determine project requirements
  • Operate specialized equipment and tools such as cutting torches, grinders, welding machines and hydraulic presses
  • Ensure all work is completed to strict quality and safety standards
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with the wider team to deliver high-quality projects on time

Requirements:

  • Formal trade qualification in Boiler Making or Fabrication
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Boiler Maker / Fabricator, ideally in a manufacturing or workshop environment
  • Proficient in operating a range of welding equipment and techniques including MIG, TIG and Stick welding
  • Strong knowledge of metal properties, fabrication methods and quality control processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work orders
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
