Sales Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to join our team at Preqin. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing and growing existing client relationships, and driving sales agendas to meet or exceed monthly net sales quotas.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the sales process from beginning to end, securing introductions with decision makers and providing support to users to achieve and surpass sales quotas.
- Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities within a defined set of accounts within Asia or lead/drive to close a global deal.
- Manage all aspects of the renewal cycle for our client's subscription relationships, with a focus on expansion opportunities within accounts and subscription renewals.
- Provide clients and prospects with detailed proposals, product demonstrations, and consultations (in person preferred, or via phone).
- Collaborate with the global account team to align on proposal and renewal strategy.
- Occasional travel to client sites/events/conferences within territory, as required.
- Develop Preqin product, technical, and alternative investment market knowledge, including passing CAIA fundamentals within 30 days.
- 6+ years of sales experience in an account management and/or new business role (in a similar discipline preferred: financial services, alternative investments, B2B SaaS sales, solution selling).
- Proven track record in hitting quota and retention targets.
- Sales motivated, team-focused attitude, and willingness to collaborate with peers, product management, and internal key constituents at the firm.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
- Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and respond quickly.
- Negotiation skills as it relates to renewal upsells, cross-selling, and additional product add-ons.
- Direct experience with banks, GP or LP.
