National Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Manager will be accountable for the efficient operation of the national payroll function, including timely and accurate payment of employees' salaries/wages in compliance with relevant awards, related statutory returns and the effective management of people-related information.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring mapping and maintenance of best practice processes in the payroll and related areas;
  • Playing a key role in payroll and finance-related software upgrades, implementations, and related works;
  • Ensuring prompt response times to field staff and corporate employees regarding payroll queries;
  • Processing of worker compensation payments and the reimbursement of same (where appropriate) from our WorkCover agent;
  • Preparing and reconciling financial reports on superannuation and payroll;
  • Conducting weekly checks and reconciliations to ensure award compliance.

A comprehensive understanding of the SCHADS Award is essential.
