This is a key leadership position within our senior leadership team. As the Head of Junior School, you will be responsible for fostering a sense of unity and cohesion across the school community.
Key Responsibilities- Fostering a collaborative environment and building high-performing teams
- Leading with integrity, emotional intelligence, and clarity to drive positive outcomes
- Driving the implementation of contemporary wellbeing and education frameworks
- Improving administrative processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements
- A relevant teaching qualification and current accreditation with NESA, with a clear understanding of curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical practice in the K–6 context
- A postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional learning and educational excellence
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a primary or whole-school setting, with a track record of leading teams and building a positive culture
- Demonstrated expertise in leading and embedding a whole-school learning framework, ideally with experience in Learning Powered Approaches or similar dispositions-based learning models
- A strong track record of improving student outcomes, including academic achievement, student engagement, and wellbeing, supported by data-informed decision-making
- A high standard of professional competence and innovation in classroom teaching, with the ability to coach and develop teaching teams to ensure consistency, excellence, and growth across the Junior School
- Highly proficient digital literacy skills, with the ability to lead digital integration in curriculum and operations
- A clear alignment with the Anglican ethos and values of the College, and a willingness to actively contribute to the spiritual and community life of the school
- The successful applicant will possess a NSW Working with Children Check and be willing to undertake a National Criminal History Check
