This is a key leadership position within our senior leadership team. As the Head of Junior School, you will be responsible for fostering a sense of unity and cohesion across the school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fostering a collaborative environment and building high-performing teams
  • Leading with integrity, emotional intelligence, and clarity to drive positive outcomes
  • Driving the implementation of contemporary wellbeing and education frameworks
  • Improving administrative processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency

Requirements

  1. A relevant teaching qualification and current accreditation with NESA, with a clear understanding of curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical practice in the K–6 context
  2. A postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional learning and educational excellence
  3. Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a primary or whole-school setting, with a track record of leading teams and building a positive culture
  4. Demonstrated expertise in leading and embedding a whole-school learning framework, ideally with experience in Learning Powered Approaches or similar dispositions-based learning models
  5. A strong track record of improving student outcomes, including academic achievement, student engagement, and wellbeing, supported by data-informed decision-making
  6. A high standard of professional competence and innovation in classroom teaching, with the ability to coach and develop teaching teams to ensure consistency, excellence, and growth across the Junior School
  7. Highly proficient digital literacy skills, with the ability to lead digital integration in curriculum and operations
  8. A clear alignment with the Anglican ethos and values of the College, and a willingness to actively contribute to the spiritual and community life of the school
  9. The successful applicant will possess a NSW Working with Children Check and be willing to undertake a National Criminal History Check
