Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing Leader to join our team. As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading our marketing efforts and developing strategies to connect with our fans and partners.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of cultivating and growing dynamic marketing teams, as well as experience in developing and executing market segmentation and customer personalisation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that align with our purpose and values
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team
  • Develop and implement market segmentation and customer personalisation strategies
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including AFL Tasmania, government bodies, local councils, schools, industry partners and broader communities state-wide
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Demonstrated success in cultivating and growing dynamic marketing teams
  • Genuine passion for purpose-driven marketing, combined with a hands-on approach to creating impactful content and campaigns
  • A track record in developing and executing market segmentation and customer personalisation strategies
  • Proven partnership marketing experience focused on driving brand growth, expanding audience reach, and delivering mutual value through strategic, collaborative initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships across internal teams, external partners, and community groups
  • A deep understanding of brand, including visual identity, voice, tone, and values, with the ability to embed brand consistently across all touchpoints
  • Confidence in using data and insights to inform marketing decisions, optimise performance, and drive audience engagement

Please note that this is a fixed-term contract position (2 years). The successful candidate will report to the GM Marketing, Public Affairs & Social Impact and will be based in Hobart with occasional travel and out-of-hours work.
