Environmental Planning Manager

We're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Land Planning and Environment team, driving strategic objectives and fostering talent development. As a key member of our Community Engagement and Land Planning Team, you'll oversee land planning and environmental approvals for large infrastructure projects in our Development & Future Networks (DFN) division.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic leadership and expert guidance on land tenure, statutory planning, environmental approvals, and cultural heritage.
- Contribute to tender submissions by evaluating planning and environmental requirements, scoping, and cost estimation.
- Oversee budgets and forecasts in line with authority delegations.
- Offer subject matter expertise in design reviews, providing guidance on environmental outcomes and EES approvals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to secure planning permits, scheme amendments, consents, and EES approval.
- Coordinate and review environmental planning and approval activities, preparing technical advice for internal and external audiences.
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, Planning, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of statutory planning, State and Federal environmental approvals, and utility legislation.
- Proven track record in delivering complex land, planning, and environmental approvals for major infrastructure projects.
- Experience in environmental assessments, technical report preparation, project monitoring, and meeting deadlines and budgets for large-scale projects.
- Significant contribution to achieving EES approval on similar projects.
- Proven ability to manage large teams of specialists in planning and environmental scopes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, manage conflicts, and influence outcomes positively.
