About the Position

The Underground HD Fitter is a critical role within our team, responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of heavy mobile plant equipment in underground mining environments are completed to the highest standards.

  • Relevant Australian trade qualification (Cert III Mobile Plant Technology) and knowledge in the maintenance and repair of various underground heavy mobile plant are essential requirements.
  • Sound diagnostic skills, ability to read and understand schematics, and excellent problem-solving skills are necessary for success in this position.
  • Automotive air conditioning certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A current manual Australian Driver's License is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs and replacements of components, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, providing valuable insights into equipment performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Work safely and follow all relevant safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve shared goals and contribute to a positive team culture.

  • Technical expertise in the maintenance and repair of heavy mobile plant equipment is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team are necessary for success in this role.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work varying shifts, including night shifts and weekends, are also required.
