About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Wallsend Hub team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently, participate in their local community, and engage in meaningful opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centred programs to support clients in living an active lifestyle and participating in their community.
- Work with behaviour support plans, utilising positive behaviour strategies to promote client well-being.
- Assist and support clients with personal and hygiene care, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained.
- Communicate effectively with families about client progress, fostering strong relationships and trust.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and record-keeping, ensuring seamless client support.
About You
We are looking for a passionate and energetic individual who is committed to making a positive impact. As a Support Worker, you will demonstrate the ability to engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people, while showcasing resilience, empathy, and self-confidence. Experience in the Disability sector and knowledge of supporting high needs clients is essential.
