About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead our Sports Bar team at The Star Brisbane. As a key member of our hospitality operations, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the venue in achieving financial and operational targets through effective organisational development, policy and procedural development, and team member training activities.
  • Ensure the venue is prepared to host major sporting events, delivering high-quality service and seamless operations.
  • Clearly demonstrate to customers and team members a commitment to service excellence.
  • Drive innovative promotions, menus, and concepts, creating a destination of choice for sports fans.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in managing high-volume hospitality venues, particularly within sports or event-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy atmosphere.
  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality industry regulations and compliance.
About You

You will need to demonstrate strategic planning, resource management, cost control, and effective leadership in people management coupled with effective communication and influencing strategies across multiple stakeholder streams.
