Personal Care Worker Role

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Worker to join our team. As a key member of our care delivery team, you will be responsible for providing holistic care to clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality personal care and daily living activities to clients according to their tailored care plan.
  • Work closely with Registered Nurses to ensure seamless client-specific care, including personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and more.
  • Collaborate with the client's care team to identify and address any emerging care needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and colleagues.
  • Support clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence.
  • Record accurate daily client notes and promptly report any concerns to the RN/Care Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Cert III in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent).
  • Current Senior First Aid [HLTAID011], CPR [HLTAID009] and Manual Handling [HLTWHS005] certification.
  • A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's licence.
  • Federal Police Clearance (within the last 6 months).
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility with shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy for elderly clients.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for home care.
  • Commitment to safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
