Role Overview

Director of Pedagogy - Full-time, Temporary

Catholic Education Western Australia is open and willing to support secondment opportunities for CEWA limited staff looking to grow their leadership skills.

As the Director of Pedagogy, you will provide visionary leadership by planning and implementing contemporary learning and teaching practices that encourage excellence in pedagogy and maximise student learning outcomes.

You will be responsible for leading, promoting, supporting and sustaining a dynamic learning culture that models and promotes the effective use of evidence-based research for learning.

You will work collaboratively with College Leaders to design, implement and review a suite of educational initiatives. These initiatives will support curriculum renewal, high-quality teaching methodologies, critical and creative thinking, and learning technologies, guided by the College's existing Vision for Learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership in planning and implementing contemporary learning and teaching practices

• Lead, promote, support and sustain a dynamic learning culture that models and promotes evidence-based research for learning

• Collaborate with College Leaders to design, implement and review educational initiatives supporting curriculum renewal, high-quality teaching methodologies, critical and creative thinking, and learning technologies

• Demonstrate a successful record of teaching and leadership experience

• Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and communication skills

• Demonstrate appropriate leadership competencies to successfully achieve the Key Areas of Accountability

• Be committed and supportive of working in an innovative learning environment

• Demonstrate a growth mindset and flexibility

• Actively support and role model the ethos and values of a Catholic College
