About This Opportunity

Our organisation is seeking a seasoned Finance Lead to join our team in the Group Transformation space. As a Finance Lead, you will be responsible for providing dedicated financial support and oversight to strategically significant programs across various domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management of Strategic Transformation Programs:
    • Global process owner with financial oversight for selected strategic projects, including reporting, planning, forecasting, business case financial modelling and supervising offshore support roles.
    • Instrumental in driving adherence to finance and accounting policies, including capital expenditure accounting policy.
    • Maintain group reporting routines, ensuring timely, accurate and insightful reports and commentary to facilitate key business decisions.
    • Support construction and challenge of business cases for programs within our transformation investment portfolio.
    • Functional lead for virtual project finance teams across multiple countries and time zones to ensure people, resources and processes are aligned with business needs.
  • Financial Oversight of QBE's Transformation Portfolio:
    • Deliver financial reporting and analysis on QBE's Transformation Portfolio.
    • Provide financial oversight and enhance benefit realisation across QBE.
    • Work closely with senior personnel on ad hoc analysis and reporting of the Transformation portfolio or specific projects.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business partners across QBE, offshore teams and FP&A teams.

About You

We are looking for someone who is technically competent in key accounting areas, such as capitalisation, determining amortisation profiles and FX conversion processes. A proven ability in managing information systems, extracting relevant data and building financial models is essential. Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills are also required.
