Job Title: Financial Planning Specialist

About the Job

The role of a Financial Planning Specialist is to provide high-quality financial services and products to clients. This includes developing and implementing financial plans, preparing financial statements, and providing expert advice on financial matters.

Job Description

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts for presentation to senior management;
  • Preparing monthly reconciliations of all inter-company balances in line with company procedures;
  • Working closely with the financial controller to prepare annual budgets and forecasts where necessary;
  • Preparing year-end financial statements together with supporting schedules and liaising with external auditors as required;
  • Calculating and preparing all statutory accounts and tax payments to ensure compliance with ATO requirements;
  • Ensuring appropriate cash receipting procedures are at all times compliant with company policy;
  • Supervising the credit control and accounts payable function and ensuring compliance with company policies;
  • Regularly monitoring warranty claims and other receivables from franchisors;
  • Supervising all company stocktakes and ensuring adequate stock control.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance;
  • CA / CPA Qualified;
  • Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment is well regarded but not necessary;
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel;
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
