Job Role:

This Cybersecurity Specialist position offers a unique opportunity to work in the field of cybersecurity, focusing on threat analysis and collaboration. The role involves tracking and analyzing security alerts from various systems, identifying potential threats, and recommending fixes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tracking and Analyzing Security Alerts: Utilize SIEM, EDR, SOAR, Canaries, and Firewalls to monitor and analyze security alerts.
  • Identifying and Assessing Potential Threats: Conduct thorough assessments and recommend fixes to mitigate potential threats.
  • Clear Reporting and Quality Checks: Write clear reports and perform quality checks on playbooks and documentation.
  • Building Strong Relationships: Foster strong working relationships with peers and clients to ensure smooth teamwork and support.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Final-year student or recent graduate in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field (graduating by early 2026).
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.
