This fixed-term opportunity offers the chance to join an established team of WHS professionals and contribute to risk management across different directorates within a local council in Western Sydney.

The primary goal of this position is to review and assess insurance and vehicle claims by liaising with employees across the organisation. Reporting to the Manager, you will work within a team of six who will support your success in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigations of claims to determine liability and provide recommendations
  • Personal injury/property damage, industrial special risk, workers compensation, motor vehicle & other claims
  • Carry out inspections of council assets and risk assessments
  • Liaise with councils insurers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in insurance or relevant field
  • Experience working in local councils is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in insurance, PL, vehicle liability and claims
  • Mandatory knowledge of the Civil Liability Act
