- Project Officer works as part of a team to support and deliver projects that progress establishment and ongoing functions of the Aboriginal Languages Trust.
Key skills include stakeholder engagement, particularly when working with Aboriginal communities, ability to communicate sensitively and effectively, experience in project management and support services, including report preparation, resource coordination, and project plan implementation and monitoring.
A strong understanding of local, regional and state Aboriginal languages activities is also essential.
Role OverviewThis role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and contribute to the growth and development of Aboriginal languages across NSW.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering projects that progress the establishment and ongoing functions of the Aboriginal Languages Trust.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly when working with Aboriginal communities
- Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with and understand issues impacting on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples
- Experience in project management and support services, including report and brief preparation, resource coordination, and project plan implementation and monitoring
- A strong understanding of the range of local, regional and state Aboriginal languages activities
