Certificate II in Horticulture Teacher

This is a unique opportunity to teach practical, land-based training that connects learners with their community and culture.

The role involves working closely with First Nations learners, Elders, and local organisations to deliver on-Country Certificate II in Horticulture training. You will be required to have strong horticulture or conservation knowledge, a hands-on approach, and the ability to support learners from underrepresented backgrounds.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to enrol and complete within an agreed timeframe)
  • Minimum Certificate III in Horticulture or Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with First Nations communities or learners
  • Strong practical skills in horticulture, bushfoods, or land management
  • Understanding of barriers faced by underrepresented learner cohorts
  • Ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and work respectfully with others
