Job Description

The People Partner is a seasoned HR professional dedicated to providing expert guidance to stakeholders, ensuring effective people management to drive organizational change and achieve business objectives. This role involves enhancing people manager capabilities through continuous advice, support, coaching, and active participation in key People Team projects as we build and mature our internal HR function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic business partner, delivering both technical and strategic HR advice across various areas, including cyclical processes, workforce planning, performance management, issue resolution, HR programs, and policy implementation that support creating an engaged and high-performing workforce.
  • Regularly meet with stakeholders to cultivate collaborative relationships with front-line team leaders and management, fostering cooperation and commitment to people strategies and programs.
  • Ensure compliance and consistency with Montu's policies and internal people procedures.
  • Identify and implement HR initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders in line with the People Team's parameters to enhance performance aligned with people and business objectives.
  • Manage cyclical HR processes, including performance reviews, annual salary reviews, engagement surveys, action plans, and other initiatives throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Collaborate with the business to provide end-to-end advice and support for change management initiatives, fostering compliance, continual improvement, and cultural alignment.
  • Offer expert advice to stakeholders to raise awareness of HR policies, ensuring compliance, facilitating best practices, and mitigating risks.
  • Case management and performance management designing, implementing, and managing performance and disciplinary or development processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and policy.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and review of HR policies and procedures in line with legislative and business requirements.
  • Share knowledge as part of a multi-disciplinary team, fostering cross-learning, and mentoring team members to build technical expertise and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in HR or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a generalist role.
  • Previous HR Business Partner experience managing stakeholders at all levels, including in senior management.
  • Strong technical understanding of employment law and how it underpins defensible people practices, with the ability to advise on risk and navigate to practical solutions.
  • Strong interest and advocacy of the manager and employee experience, with a bias to pragmatic, usable, and low-friction solutions.
  • Strong computer literacy and software competency, with the ability to understand and leverage tooling capability to serve different needs.
  • Experience dealing with senior stakeholders and building influential, credible relationships.
  • Experience in communication and management of change, and good organizational design experience.
  • Leads with curiosity, seeking to understand context, opportunities, and challenges when designing solutions.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to consume large amounts of information and form a cohesive understanding.
