Workshop Leadership Opportunity

Our workshop is seeking an experienced and skilled individual to fill a leadership position. As a leading hand, you will be responsible for overseeing workshop activities, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily planning and coordination of workshop activities.
  • Perform fabrication and dimensional checks as required.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems and other relevant standards.
  • Take accountability for maintaining certification within workshop operations.
  • Monitor work output to ensure quality standards and client requirements are met.
  • Drive a positive safety culture and ensure adherence to HSEQ procedures.
Requirements
  • Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Sheet Metal Worker (essential).
  • Proven experience in heavy and light fabrication (essential).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a workshop or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and other relevant requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
