Job Title: State Accounting Manager – Visy Board SA

Visy is a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions, and we are seeking a highly skilled State Accounting Manager to join our team in Gepps Cross, South Australia.

About the Role:

The State Accounting Manager will be responsible for providing strategic and operational financial leadership and advice to the Visy Fibre Packaging SA & WA State Management teams. This role will involve managing all facets of the accounting and financial functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate and timely completion of monthly management reports, ensuring data integrity
  • Stock reporting, balance sheets, profit and loss, mid-month estimates
  • Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, ensuring data completeness and integrity
  • Ensure ledgers are always compliant with accounting standards
  • Manage all statutory and financial account obligations as required by law and Visy policy
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, setting clear goals and accountabilities
  • Engagement with teams to support key analyses such as volumes, sales, capital expenditure, expense control, and other ad hoc reviews
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in Finance/Business or related discipline is essential
  • CPA/CA qualified or equivalent
  • Solid experience working in finance & accounting related roles - (8 years min)
  • Experience in manufacturing or corporate environment preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and reporting processes in a medium to large organisation
  • Proven experience in report preparation and presentation to key internal and external stakeholders/clients
  • Proficient in SAP & Hyperion
