About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planning Specialist to join our team at BHP. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating maintenance work plans for our front-line teams to safely execute.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a rolling 12-week maintenance plan, integrating with production requirements
  • Schedule agreed planned work in accordance with SAP work management processes
  • Deliver high-volume optimised maintenance plans for equipment across site
  • Monitor, control, and improve weekly work management processes
  • Improve master data to support maintenance strategy accuracy
  • Plan work in accordance with SAP Work Management process, accurately identifying required components and resources prior to scheduling
  • Arrange specialist or external resources (where required) to support completion of complex work
  • Identify and implement actions to improve scheduling of maintenance work
  • Identify opportunities to share resources across departments and sites within an asset to ensure plans are optimised, maximising capacity available across site and asset
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Experience or knowledge of Asset Management, maintenance execution, maintenance planning & reliability or production processes, with solid technical aptitude and maintenance process expertise
  • Knowledge of SAP (or an equivalent ERP system)
  • Experience in Mining, Fixed Plant or heavy industry
  • Understanding of planning & scheduling and the Work Management process
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Good problem-solving skills, to support sustainable problem resolution
  • An eagerness to develop and a passion for continuous improvement
  • The ability to collaborate and drive performance in a peer group
  • Strong attention to detail
