About the Role

Cimic, a leading global infrastructure and mining contractor, has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Thiess Mount Arthur South.

This position involves working in a high-performing team to inspect and maintain heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of haul trucks to identify defects and potential issues.
  • Create work orders based on defect severity and collaborate with maintenance planners to schedule repairs.
  • Review machine health reports to enable targeted inspections and maintenance.
  • Verify the accuracy of submitted job planning forms.
  • Participate in maintenance planning and reliability meetings to ensure seamless operations.

About You:

  • You hold a Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Certificate III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or similar qualification.
  • You have post-trade experience working in the mining industry, specifically with CAT 789 & 793's.
  • You possess sound knowledge of computer software and experience with creating work orders is desirable.
  • You demonstrate the ability to work independently and across multiple departments, meet critical deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • You prioritize health and safety and maintain a high regard for it.
