At Dolby Laboratories, we're revolutionizing the entertainment industry with cutting-edge audio and video technologies. As a Research Intern, you'll work closely with our Advanced Technology Group in Sydney to investigate a cutting-edge topic and develop novel research that's fun and exciting.

We're interested in PhD students with a technical background in AI/Machine learning systems, AI Agentic Workflows, Trustworthy and explainable AI, Perceptual and interactive multimedia computing, and Multimodal and Immersive Audio and Video creation.

Our projects are targeted towards Live events or sports, Enhancing wellness and fitness, Data provenance, attribution and authenticity, Creating and controlling audio, video, textual, or multimedia content, Generation or playout of spatial media (video or audio), and Generation of plausible scenes, acoustics and geometry for audio and XR.

We encourage publication of the results of your project and offer a collegial culture, challenging projects, and excellent compensation and benefits.

Skills and specialty areas include Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Science, Music Technology, Media Technology, or Media Content Creation. We're looking for the ability to creatively explore and design experiments to uncover new and interesting learnings in media.
