Job Title: Senior Virtual Platform Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Virtual Platform Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for virtual infrastructure solutions, including VMware and Microsoft Virtual Infrastructure.

You will work closely with our team to design, implement, and maintain virtual platforms, ensuring they meet the needs of our business. Your expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues will be invaluable in keeping our systems running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in virtualization, with experience working with VMware and Microsoft products. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide advanced support for VMware ESXi 6.5 above, including products such as VMware vCenter, VMware vRealize Operations, and VMware NSX-T.
  2. Provide advanced support for Hyper-V 2016 above, including SCVMM.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Supporting HPE Server Hardware BL DL Series, C7000 Blade Enclosures, and Dell Server Hardware MX R series.
  • Providing feedback to senior management on customer experience and generating utilisation licensing reports.
  • Liaising with customers to gather feedback and develop strategies for new features and capabilities.
Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in provision high-level support and maintenance of virtual platforms.
  • Relevant certifications, such as ITIL Foundation Certificate, highly advantageous.
  • Experience operating in a team environment, developing business relationships, and sharing relevant knowledge and experience.
