About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to fill the role of Secondary Learning Assistant at our school. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing quality learning experiences and support to students with diverse needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Learning Assistant or Teacher's Aid, holding qualifications such as Special Education Support training or a Cert III/Cert IV in Learning Support. They must be an active member of their local community and possess knowledge of the social, emotional, and educational needs of students with disabilities or learning difficulties.

Able to implement Individual Education Plans, including Assistive Technology and Strategies for one-on-one and class support, the successful applicant will contribute towards a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Implementation of IEPs and Assistive Technology
  • Pastoral and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and Disability Standards for Education 2005
  • Passion for quality education and commitment to student well-being
