About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Frontline Recruitment. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to young people aged 12-25 in custody.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and diagnose mental health conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff members
  • Contribute to service development, policy implementation, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with custodial and community services to ensure holistic and integrated care
Requirements
  • Registration as a Registered Nurse Div. 1 and postgraduate qualification in Mental Health
  • Minimum 2 years of advanced clinical nursing experience in a forensic mental health setting
  • Understanding of the NMBA Nurse Practitioner Standards for Practice
  • Knowledge and skills in working with mental health patients with addiction/AOD issues
  • Commitment to improving health outcomes for mental health consumers with a dual diagnosis
  • Well-developed knowledge of the public mental health service environment and relevant legislation
