Acoustic Solutions Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced acoustic solutions specialist to deliver industry-leading acoustics across various sectors throughout Australia.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Physics, or a related field and at least 3 years' experience in building acoustics and/or environmental acoustics within a consultancy environment.

  • Undertake acoustic design, modelling, and analysis for various projects
  • Prepare and review reports, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Conduct site inspections, on-site measurements, and noise/vibration compliance testing
  • Provide expert technical advice to clients and internal teams
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate acoustic solutions into design outcomes

Key skills and qualifications include proficiency in industry software such as SoundPLAN, CadnaA, ArcGis, Odeon, EASE, and strong knowledge of Australian and State acoustic regulations, building codes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Acoustic Design and Modelling:

  • Develop and implement acoustic designs for various projects
  • Analyse data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Site Inspections and Testing:

  • Conduct site inspections and on-site measurements
  • Test and verify noise and vibration levels

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare and review reports, specifications, and tender documentation

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Communicate complex technical information effectively
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Physics, or a related field

Experience:

  • At least 3 years' experience in building acoustics and/or environmental acoustics

Skills:

  • Proficiency in industry software (SoundPLAN, CadnaA, ArcGis, Odeon, EASE)
  • Knowledge of Australian and State acoustic regulations, building codes, and standards
