At Turner & Townsend, we're seeking a highly skilled Strategic MEP Cost Manager to lead our cost management team and drive project success. With a minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP cost management, you'll bring expertise in developing detailed cost plans and budgets for MEP components at all stages of the project.

This is a senior role that requires exceptional leadership qualities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret complex design documents. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and reliable MEP cost estimates and reports, as well as implementing quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of cost management.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

  • Lead the MEP cost management team and coordinate efforts to deliver comprehensive cost plans, estimates, and reports.
  • Mentor and develop junior cost managers and other team members, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their professional skills and knowledge.
  • Develop detailed cost plans and budgets for MEP components at all stages of the project.
  • Implement effective cost control measures to track actual expenditures against budget, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with design teams to optimize MEP designs for cost efficiency and practicality.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all MEP cost-related matters, providing clear and concise updates on cost status, forecasts, and potential issues.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all MEP cost estimates and reports, and implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of cost management.

Key Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP cost management.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to interpret complex design documents.
