Australian Regional IT Operations Manager

The Service Desk Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence within the IT support team. This role involves extensive project leadership and participation in projects across Cloud, Office 365, AD, Security, and Access control.
This position formulates processes and procedures for ongoing support team operations, drives documentation, reviews security, and provides technical support when needed. The team will focus on delivering high-performance service orientation and day-to-day escalations for the Australian region.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Design and implement continual improvements to the IT Support process within an Agile environment.
- Manage a small IT support team of 4 personnel.
- Oversee all IT desktop support operations and manage support teams with hands-on involvement when necessary.
- Be accountable for IT operational budgets and spend analysis.
- Drive ongoing user training, education programs, and documentation uptake.
- Mentor and support career development within the department.
- Manage relationships with business partners, vendors, and third-party providers.
Position Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Desktop/Service Desk/EUC roles.
- 3+ years in IT Operations Management.
- Strong IT management skills focusing on Desktop, Cloud, Office 365, and Azure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Technical background in Desktop and Infrastructure.
