As an emergency roadside assistance provider, you will support our members by providing timely and effective solutions, using your automotive expertise to keep them moving safely. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, changing flat tyres, jump-starting vehicles, providing fuel delivery, selling and installing batteries, assisting with lockouts, and accurately recording all customer and job information.
You will represent the organization with integrity, valuing diversity, and embodying our core values. You will work as part of an inclusive team that values gender equality and diversity, and is committed to supporting sustainable travel.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Automotive/Motor Mechanic Tradesperson Certificate (NSW Fair Trading)
- A valid Australian Driver's License (minimum full license C class)
- Experience in mechanical repair and understanding of motor vehicles and the automotive industry
- Knowledge of work, health, and safety practices applicable to motor vehicle repair and customer service
- Ability to assess mechanical and electrical issues to determine the safest course of action
- Strong communication skills and customer focus, with the ability to work with diverse communities
- A team player attitude with a positive work ethic
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate empathy to customers
- Motivated self-starter committed to ongoing technical development and industry trends
